Facial Cleanser

Happy Friday friends! Upon a long overdue request, I’m sharing my nightly skincare routine, derived from products I use on a daily basis. This is a great exfoliant and toner.

Apple Cider Vinegar – There are so many benefits of ACV. It helps your body detox; it helps to balance your body’s pH levels and regulate blood sugar levels, which helps keep you immune and boost energy; it is also an appetite suppressant; hair product (apply after shampooing for shine and volume); and even a natural household cleaner. Organic and unpasteurized is best to reap these benefits.
Lubriderm – I have been using Lubriderm since college and love the fact that it is light, yet moisturizing and non-greasy.
Aquaphor – This is a great moisturizer and makeup remover!

Glob Aquaphor onto your eye lids and lashes to remove your eye makeup. Gently remove with a cotton pad. (This is also great to help lashes grow!)

Wash your face with your preferred face wash (I use the original bar of Dove soap.) Pat dry.

Swirl bottle to mix the Mother of Vinegar (you know, that glob at the bottom… it’s actually a naturally occurring strand-like enzyme of connected protein molecules.) Dampen a cotton pad with water then pour ACV onto the cotton pad. (If this is your first time and you don’t dilute, it could be too harsh for your skin, leaving it red and irritated.)

Dab cotton pad around your face, avoiding your eyes. (This will burn at first but it a good way! Also, if you’re not use to ACV, the smell can get ya!) Take a damp washcloth to gently remove the ACV. Pat dry.

Rub Lubridem to seal in moisture.

*You’ll want to do this regimen before bed as opposed to in the morning, so your face isn’t red and splotchy before work, school, etc.! Cheers to beautiful skin!

  1. I've always heard how great ACV is for your face but have never tried it! Thanks for the tips, I'll have to try it out!

    1. I love the way my skin looks the mornings after I do this!
