Sweet Potato Fries

Sweet potatoes are high in fiber and beta carotene and rank high in nutritional value, compared to other vegetables. After viewing different sweet potato fry recipes, I picked some of my favorite ingredients to incorporate for my fries! These are a healthy snack option or side to your meal.

DIRECTIONS:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Slice 2 sweet potatoes lengthwise into "fry size" strips.
  • In a large bowl, combine:
-Freshly ground Sea Salt
-1 Tbsp. Cinnamon
-1 tsp. Dark Chili Powder
-1 Tsp. Paprika
-1 Tbsp. EVOO
  • Add sweet potato strips to bowl and stir, making sure all slices are coated.
  • Lay sweet potato fries on a baking sheet, making sure none are overlapping. Lightly sprinkle a cinnamon and sugar mixture before placing into the oven.
Bake for 18 minutes. After 18 minutes, switch oven to Broil setting for 5 minutes. (This will make the outside crispy and allow the inside to remain soft.)
